A rather good joke

A friend in Scotland has just sent me a rather good joke. Maybe you’ve heard it before, but it has enough of a language aspect to allow me to post it here for the benefit of those who have not.

Angela Merkel arrives at passport control in Athens:
     “Nationality?” asks the immigration officer.

     “German,” she replies.
     “Occupation?”
“No, just here for a few days.”
