How meditating on seaweed can heal your psyche (as applied to modern Scottish politics)

Another post mocks the pretentions of modern Scottish politicians by making the analogy of how reading the seaweed fronds (like Scottish babushki used to read the tea-leaves) can help you understand the universal realities of egotism in public affairs.

The piece also introduces the great, modern philosopher and neuropsychiatrist, Dr Iain McGilchrist, who lives on the isle of Skye, near where the famous Talisker whisky is made.

The man who saved Britain from aggressive nationalism

Dude to perverted nationalism, we have a profoundly amateurish government in Scotland. The pseudo-government's chief job is to furnish themselves with gold-plated pensions while the country they are stealing from drowns in public debt, largely due to their incompetence and indifference to public opinion.

They are anti-democrats in an important sense and the article linked below illuminates that point by giving an example of the opposite, in the unlikely form of Neville Chamberlain--so long considered only the dupe of Hitler at Munich. In fact, he was the man who, in the 1930s, saved the country Yousaf is now trying to destroy. Yousaf, of course, is doing what the early SNP leaders tried to do during WWII when man y thought that they would prefer government by Hitler to the Beritish in London (which included many Scots). They were, and are, traitors.
