This article describes a revealing book by a famous climate
crisis promoter, Stephen Schneider (joint part winner of 2007 Nobel Peace Prize
with Al Gore). It is an early publication, dating from the 1970s and it has a
lot of lessons for modern crisis boosters. Most of them are a warning on
fashions in doomography, but there is one good one: “Consensus is a bad way to
do science.”
This book gives informative background to the climate
science debate: https://thinkscotland.org/2024/12/when-the-end-of-the-world-was-nigh/
