Political carpet-baggers in Scotland today - nationalists are "the party of crooks and thieves"

Now that we know that the SNP government sprays gifts around to favourites who might be consolidated into a national patronage network, it is worth recalling just how well they treat themselves. The issue of Humza Yousaf’s extravagant hotel accommodation in London has suggested to many that simply spending tax-payers’ money is the way this government thinks it can staying in power.

This is a trick at least as old as the Mongol empire, whose ruling principle was to force subject peoples to finance, through tribute and forced recruitment, for their conquerors ability to keep the subjects in subjection. SNP corruption appears designed to achieve the same end.

Hamish Gobson argues from there to the surprising conclusion that Mrs Murrell and Alastair Jack might have more in common that we thought…. Something to do with tents, I gather!

Happy camping!
